Ioniki, one of the Greek leaders in frozen pastry and puff pastry products, has entered into an agreement with Beyond Meat, a global leader in plant-based meat. The first offering taking advantage of this collaboration is the Plant-based Greek Pie. Made with Beyond Meat’s plant-based ground Beyond Beef and wrapped into a delicious thin filo pastry crust, it also has vegetable mayonnaise, mustard, mint, and black pepper, which create an amazing tasting experience that resembles that of real meat.
At the same time, the high protein (it exceeds 16g) and fiber (it reaches 5.7g) index fills one with lots of energy. Is it really vegan?
