Greek Alternative Tourism Gastronomy Workshop

Preparations for the Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 are underway, while the number of companies participating in the event is constantly growing. And this is because, for the first time, two of Greece’s most dynamic sectors, Alternative Tourism and Agri-food, will be promoted in 4 strategically key markets in Europe: Denmark (Copenhagen on April 1, 2020), France (Paris on April 28, 2020), Poland (Warsaw on October 15, 2020). ) and Belgium (Brussels on 25 November 2020). It is worth noting that these are events strictly reserved for professionals and with a view to highlighting Greece as the ultimate alternative and gastronomic destination.

Namely, the Greek Αlternative & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 is addressed to Greek Private Companies and Public Sector Organizations which are interested to penetrate and reinforce their presence by promoting their products and services regarding alternative tourism, to international growing markets. These events are aimed at promoting Greek alternative tourism and at bolstering the export of the country’s food and beverages.

With regard to the four European markets where the workshops will take place, tour operators as well as food traders including importers, wholesalers, retailers, foodservers and deli shops from their respective markets, are expected to attend.

During the Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshops, the Greek delegates will meet up for 3-4 hours with the local travel agents and tour operators, in B2B meetings. In addition, at the same venue, 2-3 short speeches will take place in a specially formed podium. The events of the Greek Alternative Tourism & Gastronomy Workshop 2020 will conclude with a dinner featuring Greek specialties, giving all attendees the opportunity to network further.

The events organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) are under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Rural Development & Food, and the UNESCO Intercultural Club.
